Grants talk:Project/Rapid/UG/MAI/Wikipedia Activities

Latest comment: 6 years ago by Biplab Anand

Hi Biplab Anand. Thank you for this request and organizing these activities. I have a few comments below.

  1. Who will judge the article submissions and how will the prizes be awarded?
  2. 15 participants in an online editathon seems low, but I realized I do not have a good idea of the size of your community. From the Wikimedia stats page, it looks like there are 7 active editors on the Maithili Wikipedia and 2 very active editors. Do these seem like accurate numbers? Is there anything else you can tell us about your community that will help give us a better sense of your context?
  3. Please note your underspend from Wiki Loves Earth 2017 will be applied to this grant.

We wish you the best of luck with your editathon and celebrations! Best, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 04:05, 31 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi @AWang (WMF):, Thanks for your comments.
  • Who will judge the article submissions and how will the prizes be awarded?

→ We have a tool to judge the article submission and the top most contributor will be awarded.

→ The active editors are low for sure on Maithili Wikipedia. We are regularly working towards to make contributors active on Maithili Wikipedia and this Edit-a-thon is one of the part of that. We are organizing a Meetup to discuss these things.

  • Please note your underspend from Wiki Loves Earth 2017 will be applied to this grant.

→ There is no remaining funds from Wiki Loves Earth 2017.--Biplab Anand (Talk) 02:22, 2 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
