Not funded edit

Hello MrTallBoy, thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. After reviewing your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

  • A local Wiki Loves Africa contest will be organized and covered by Wikimedia Community User Group Rwanda in Rwanda through their General Support funding. This project includes duplications of efforts and activities which we cannot fund. We recommend collaborating with Wikimedia Community User Group Rwanda and/or participating in the WLA local contest organized by them.
  • Wikimedians of Ruhenegeri User Group is not a recognized Wikimedia affiliate. However, on your grant application and Fluxx Grantee Portal you are presenting yourself as a recognized affiliate. We request that the group designation is updated and corrected on the relevant Fluxx Grantee Portal and other relevant pages. Even if the group's Meta-Wiki page mentions that the group is not recognized, you cannot present yourself as a recognized User Group if you are not formally recognized by the Affiliation Committee.
  • You are also blocked indefinitely on one or more Wikimedia projects which means that you are not eligible for Wikimedia Foundation Funds.

Thank you, it is well noted. Let’s follow the right way, we are tirelessly rectifying all reasons so we will be funded in future. MrTallBoy (talk) 11:00, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
