Grants talk:Programs/Wikimedia Community Fund/Rapid Fund/Africa Wiki Challenge 2022 in Nigeria (ID: 21881137)

Endorsment from Favourdare123 (talk) edit

Strong support This is the second edition of the Africa Wiki Challenge and this is an avenue for me to contribute my quota to the free knowledge platform. The strategies and activities proposed and the outreach to underrepresented groups are well developed. This proposal focuses more on local contents as portrayed in the application. This proposal will enormously contribute to the content gap on Nigeria. Yes, it is coherent that's why I strongly support this project.

Comments from the MEA regional funds staff edit

Dear Major Lyte, thanks for submitting this grant proposal and addressing the concerns shared with you in the past. We have a few clarifying questions in order to move forward:

  • Please update the project start date. The earliest start date for Rapid Fund projects in this cycle is 11 July.
  • While the engagement of Igbo community is clear, it's unclear how Yoruba community has been informed and involved in the project. How have you notified the Yoruba Wikimedians about this project?
  • You mentioned that User:James Moore200 will be the coordinator for the Yoruba community. Is he a native Yoruba speaker?

Please make these changes on Fluxx. Log in to the Grantee Portal and you will see your application in the 'Proposals need attention' section. Please edit and submit your application by June 25, 2022. Let us know if you have any questions. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:02, 16 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
