James Moore200/Wiki Loves SDGs Nigeria
This is an onsite project where every participant will be taught how to create and improve content on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria on Wikipedia and Wikidata. There is a substantial lack of content in this area which became obvious to me during my participation in the Wiki Loves SDGs Online Edit-a-Thon in 2020 as one of the nine volunteers who made the most valuable contributions to SDG-related topics in the English Wikipedia during the edit-a-thon [Prize Winner During Global Week]. Few other experienced Wikimedians and I will use the project to introduce Wikipedia and wikidata to existing Wikimedia editors and new editors using knowledge we acquired in the past few years.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The 17 SDGs Goals were built on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals while including new areas such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected – often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.

Wiki Loves SDGs Nigeria (#WikiLovesSDGsNG) will help bridge the SDGs gap that exists on Wikipedia with a focus on Nigerian related content, this event will bring together Civic Organizations and Youth Networks, working to reach the Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria.

SDGs and Nigeria’s future are intertwined, they can’t be separated. We can only solve the gap that exists by creating content around SDGs on Wikipedia.
