We want to use this project to recruit new editors for Twi Wikipedia. Though Twi is the most widely spoken indigenous language of Ghanaians, the community of Twi editors is lacking. We would thus want to use this project to introduce and train new editors and old editors in Twi to build up the Twi community of editors.
We believe this project will help improve the skills of the editors in the community. In our just ended project the “Time Project” we were able to build a community of editors. With this project which is focused on content creation using the Translation tool we aim at improving the skills of our existing editors in this area.
So far content on Twi Wikipedia is quite lacking and a lot of work is needed to be done to improve content thus the project will be helping in adding more high quality content due to the groups of people we are targeting to participate in the project, which is the students and lecturers of the Language Department of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. What will you and other organizers spend your time doing?
We will be organizing a one day Wikidata and Twi Wikipedia training workshop for students and lecturers of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Language Department to equip the community with the skills they will need to be able to participate in the 3 weeks long translation work. We will train 20 participants, 10 participant in each room.
After the workshop participants will be assigned a number of Wikidata items and articles to translate over a period of 3 weeks.

What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?
We would have translated or created about 30 articles of Ghanaian dishes and traditional dances on Twi Wikipedia. And improved their Wikidata items by adding their Twi labels and other missing statements.
Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:
- There will be two rooms, 10 participants in each room.
- The project will last for a month. Our just ended project we worked on enabled us to recruit new editors. We believe this project will enable these new editors improve on their skills through English to Twi Translations.

The project will focus on translating the articles from the Members of Parliament of the 1st Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
1. Amoaniwaa – Twi Wikipedia articles review, design flyer to promote event and registration form.
2. Valentine Badu – Twi Wikipedia aritcles and Wikidata items review, Twi professional.
3. Naa2Darkoa – Compile list of articles, facilitate training workshops.
4. Jemima2019 – Compile list of articles, facilitate workshops, Twi Professional.
5. Warmglow – Logistics, Email and call participants.
Other general support
1. Kindivia – Provide general support to jury and facilitate trainings.
2. Mwintirew – Provide general support to communications, logistics and facilitate trainings.
