What is the problem you're trying to solve?

The abuse filter variable would help to slow the escalation rate of two users with a history. It would probably allow third party users to participate in discussions and to edit disputed articles. That may result in less work load for admins by avoiding some escalations. Preventing an escalation is preferable to punishing interaction ban violations with user blocks.

Project goals

The goal ist to create an additional variable "ARTICLE_LASTXH_CONTRIBUTORS" for the abuse filter. As a user separation filter by mutual exclusion, it's intended as an additional tool complementing interaction bans.

1.  Support it is really worth it. Either by editfilter or some new mechanism (some wikis have reached limit on conditions for AF, so cannot add new filters) but it is probably best solution we may have for many wars between otherwise useful and friendly users. --Base (talk) 15:42, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
