Proposals

edit

If or not let the Ombudperson have access to our internal maillist

edit

OPTIONS

  • Allow: Only access to it, not be part of it and still keeping all of our discussions confidential (the ombudsperson would have a right to read them, but not to quote/refer them - they would be disclosed only for the purpose of being able to understand our reasoning)
  • Not allow

VOTING

Allow
  1. Pundit (talk) 09:24, 1 October 2012 (UTC) (under the described constraints seems mostly harmless, and serves the purpose of the role and external control) EDIT: I agree with Mike's clarification below.
  2. --Perohanych (talk) 18:11, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
  3. Mike Peel (talk) 21:38, 5 October 2012 (UTC) (As I said on the FDC mailing list on 25 Sept, "I would recommend that Susana is subscribed to the list, but her subscription is set to 'nomail'. This would mean that she wouldn't receive emails as discussions take place (hence maintaining neutrality and avoiding her being drawn into group-think), but she would have full access to the archives on the list webpage (so she would be able to easily access the email discussions as she needs to).")
  4. I endorse Mike Peel's suggestion. I think that this is the preferred way to give her access but not have her be exposed to groupthink, or being put in the impossible position of monitoring 'on the fly' our ongoing discussions for any type of problematic comment. FloNight (talk) 18:21, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
  5. Seems harmless to me as well. - Ali Haidar Khan (Tonmoy) (talk) 18:06, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
Not allow
  1. Anders Wennersten (talk) 08:08, 2 October 2012 (UTC) Susana has not requested access, on the contrary. Also we should let the list only be for internal disussiona, anyting relevant for the outside world, inlcuding Susana, should be put on the wiki (tranparancy)
