Meet Serbia edit

Meet Serbia is an editing month challenge for Wiki Club's members in the Republic of Macedonia, taking place from 20 January (00:01) to 20 February 2021 (23:59). It is organized by GLAM Macedonia with support of the Embassy of Serbia in Skopje. The activities of this challenge continue and finished this month.

During the month long editing challenge „Meet Serbia“ there were a total of 1206 articles and 23 participants. All photos can be seen at Category:Meet Serbia.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for the 23rd of March at the Serbian Embassy in Skopje.

Wiki Clubs edit

As a sign of support for people struggling with rare diseases, in February we have the national campaign "Getting to know rare diseases 2022".

Our Wiki Club Ohrid will have one-month editorial marathon for editing articles as part of the national campaign "#LightUpForRare".

This is the fourth year in a row, that Wiki Club Ohrid dedicates the month of February to enriching the content as well as editing articles on the Macedonian language Wikipedia to raise awareness about rare diseases under the motto "So that those who know about rare are not rare".

28 new articles were created on mkWiki about the rare diseases this year.

GLAM activities edit

GLAM activities started this month.

In Ohrid, we continue the collaboration with the National Park Galicica by sending Wikipedian in residence. First activity occurred on 2 February with workshop and editing Wikipedia. Wiki Club Ohrid had a workshop in the National Park Galicica workshop entitled "A world without swamps is a world without water" on the same topic the students wrote several articles on Wikipedia in Macedonian language.

The collaboration with the Natural Museum in Skopje continue this month, with creating new articles about butterflies and wasps living in Macedonia.

This month GLAM coordinator Ana Vishinova started negotiation with the Museum of Macedonia and the Museum of the City Skopje in order to sign agreement of collaboration and to start with planed activities.

Seminar for teachers edit

On February 18, 2022, in the primary school Goce Delchev in the Municipality of Aerodrom (Skopje), a seminar for teachers was held in which 10 teachers successfully participated. The main theme of the seminar was "Media literacy and Wikipedia". The keynote speaker on media literacy and culture was Tatjana Gogoska, Master of Communication Sciences.
