Discussion
edit- It would be good to show this only to signed-in autoconfimred editors/extended confirmed editors of projects. A submission requires some Wiki-experience, -- টিটো দত্ত (কথা) 09:35, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- We need this Central Notice to deliver three different messages.
- Banner 1:
You may have this notice every two days.During events. 19-21 February 2021. Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 05:25, 7 January 2021 (UTC) - Banner 2: This notice may be published during the Submission open campaign.
- Banner 3: This notice may be published during the Registration open campaign.
Do we have to make different requests to do these three different campaigns? Or will this be done through this request?Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 15:49, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jayanta (CIS-A2K) It can be handled in this one. Is it safe to assume the dates are final? Martin Urbanec (talk) 13:23, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jayanta (CIS-A2K) Also, I'm not sure what you want to do with banner 1, can you clarify? Martin Urbanec (talk) 23:12, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Martin Urbanec:, Thanks for your reply. I have changed the write-up of Banner-1 which will be run during the main events. All dates are final as mentioned. Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 05:25, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi,@Martin Urbanec and Ciell:, any update?
Central Notice admin comments
edit@Martin Urbanec: (or any other CN admin): could you please handle this one? Ciell (talk) 13:11, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- Sure, will do it later today hopefully. Martin Urbanec (talk) 13:23, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jayanta (CIS-A2K): Hi, sorry, this took longer than I expected. I prepared the banners, could you please replace "South Asia" with the individual countries you wish to run the banner in? We can't geographically focus banners on "South Asia", we need to list the countries instead. Thanks, --Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:14, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jayanta (CIS-A2K) and I'd also need "Indic languages" to be clarified, could you please list all of them? Thanks! Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:15, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- For their previous October banner, Jayanta listed the following 12 languages for India: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu and for country targets India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. Ciell (talk) 20:28, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks! Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:45, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- Done @Jayanta (CIS-A2K): Banners enabled. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:42, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

- @Martin Urbanec:, Thannk you for this update. Some community member have mentioned that there is no traslation option of central notice. Could you please enable it? It will help for community to translate. Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 08:11, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jayanta (CIS-A2K) Right, thanks for noting it. It was already set to translatable, but no translation link was provided. I just added them to the banners. For convenience, here are all of the translation links:
- Note some of the messages (namely, "Main Event: February 19 - 21, 2021") is shared between those three banners, so you only need to translate it once.
- Note translations need to be manually approved by a CentralNotice administrator. Feel free to ping me here if you need to have the translations approved.
- Best, Martin Urbanec (talk) 14:53, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Martin Urbanec: Please update Bengali translation ("wikimeet_india_2021_register"). There was a mistake, instead of 2021, 2016 (!) was written in the bn translation. I fixed that. --আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 17:12, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
