Mission

Our mission is to facilitate the growth and development of Talysh language content on Wikimedia projects, including Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, and others. We aim to achieve this by collaborating with Talysh speakers, researchers, and enthusiasts to create and improve Talysh language content and increase its visibility and accessibility online. We strive to increase awareness and appreciation of the Talysh language and culture globally through Wikimedia projects and we work to create and improve Talysh language content across Wikimedia projects, including Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, and Wiktionary.

Edit-a-thons

We regularly organize edit-a-thons focused on various topics to improve the quality and coverage of content on Wikimedia projects. These events are open to all, and newcomers are warmly welcomed.

Translation Drives

We facilitate translation efforts to translate existing Wikimedia content into the Talysh language, making knowledge more accessible to Talysh speakers.

Participants

edit

User group consist of active users who are interested in developing of Talysh wiki projects. To be a member of user group you are expected to be a regular contributor on at least one of the Wikimedia projects in Talysh language (or contribute to Meta/Commons in a way that support or benefit these projects).

Language for internal communication of this user group is Talysh but we report back to the foundation and the rest of the world in English.
