Wikimedia-Education Conference

The Wikimedia-Education Conference was held from 5th-7th April, in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain. User:Rehman from the usergroup attended the conference. Pictures of the conference can be found here.

Wiki Loves Earth 2019

UG-LK conducted its first contest as Wiki Loves Earth, from April to August, with the main public contest spanning the whole month of June. Rehman (LK), Azeez (HK), Sivakosaran (LK), Sandaru (LK), Nandana (LK), and Dan Arndt (AU), were the jury members. The project exceeded expectations, and was concluded successfully, with two entries winning the global round. The results can be found below:

Wikimedia Education SAARC Conference

The Wikimedia Education SAARC Conference was held on 20th-22nd June, in Bangalore, India. User:Rehman from the usergroup attended the conference. Pictures of the conference can be found here.

Tamil Wikipedia 16 Years Celebrations

On 19th and 20th October 2019, the Tamil Wikipedia (tawiki) editor community held a two-day event to commemorate the 16th Anniversary of Tamil Wikipedia, in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Participants included those from India and Sri Lanka. User:Sivakosaran from UG-LK was involved in the organisation of the event. More information on the event can be found here (in Tamil).
