Tamil Wikipedia 16 Years Celebrations

Overview

Tamil Wikipedia 16 Years Celebrations is a two-day event to commemorate the 16th Anniversary of Tamil Wikipedia. The purpose of the event is to increase reach and participation and to discuss and decide on strategies for the future growth of Tamil Wikipedia and sister projects. This gathering can be thought of as a WikiConference for Tamil Wikimedians.

We expect around 40 core Tamil Wikimedians from India, Sri Lanka and Europe to attend this event besides participants from like-minded organizations which work towards a common goal. More than a hundred persons are expected to attend the 2nd day evening event. A good number of these will be like-minded people from the academia, press and other FOSS projects.
