Abstract (up to 100 words)

One of the main goals for computer science is to teach computational thinking in order to increase problem-solving skills. This should be achieved by incorporating the concepts of computational thinking all courses as the implementation of these concepts is interdisciplinary. Aiming to promote competitive programming in primary and secondary schools, we joined forces and continued our initiative from 2013(Competitive Programming Wiki book, Data structures and algorithms in Serbian, https://www.wikiwand.com/sr/%D0%A8%D0%B0%D0%B1%D0%BB%D0%BE%D0%BD:%D0%9C%D0%90%D0%A2%D0%A4052013) before the start of the new season of computer science competitions. However, embedding Wikipedia article into competitive programming ( in primary and secondary education requires) a practical approach, for example:

   • What would competitive programming look like in the classroom?
   • What are the skills that students would demonstrate?
   • What would a teacher need in order to put Wiki editing into practice?
   • What are teachers already doing that could be modified and extended?
How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe?

Based on the feedback received from teachers and students (as members of the national team on various Olympiads or involved in the discussion topic of the National education council), we prepared training material, which is designed to introduce students to the world of data structures and extracting conclusions based on data.
