Wikimedia CEE Hub/Youth Group/Prague Meeting 2024
The Prague Meeting 2024 was the second in-person meeting of the members of the Youth Group, and it was held during 29th and 30th of November 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Similar to the first in-person meeting, which also took place in Prague, the focus of the meeting is planning CEE Youth group activities for 2025 as well as enabling CEE youth members to connect better, brainstorm and exchange their experiences.
Wikimedia CEE Hub was managing the application process and the selection of participants who were offered scholarships. During the October 2024, recipients of the scholarships were announced.

editThe Prague Meeting will be attended by 10 participants from 8 different countries, of which 3 are female participants. Four organisers will also be present during the meeting, 2 staff members of the CEE Hub and 2 staff members of the Wikimedia Czech Republic, as well as one external facilitator.

Background
editGroup is an initiative of the CEE Hub to informally connect young people (younger than 30 years old) from the Central and Eastern Europe across the region to support capacity building in this area. It is organised by CEE Hub coordinator Barbara Klen and SC member Klára Joklová.
The group was established in May 2023. We want to create a space for collaboration and sharing among young Wikimedians. For this reason, the Catch Up meeting held by CEE Hub and Wikimedia Foundation's Movement Communications regional specialist Natalia Szafran-Kozakowska on 16th May 2023 was also focused on young people in the region.
