Wikifood

(Redirected from WikiFood)

Wikifood is my proposal for a new project that documents food from around the world, whether Mexico, Costa Rica, China, Russia, South Africa, Spain or Turkey. This should also include the history of food and various types of foods, specific cuisines, etc.

This is a proposal for a new Wikimedia sister project.

Discussion

  1.   Oppose. This is one of the scopes of Wikibooks. --NGC 54 (talk / contribs) 16:56, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  2.   Strong oppose This is why there is a thing called the Cookbook in Wikibooks. We don't need a separate project for that. — 🍕 Yivan000 viewtalk 01:53, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  3.   Oppose. Already in Wikibooks. We don't need a separate project for food. Random Wikimedian (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:24, 25 February 2021.
  4.   Strong oppose per others. The scope is exactly the same as the Cookbook in Wikibooks. AnotherEditor144 t - c 12:38, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  5.   Oppose I immediately thought of Wikibooks. 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 12:45, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  6.   Oppose I just now learned about Cookbook. But looking at it, it seems to have this covered. Now, finding a way to have a multilingual interface for Cookbook could be useful. SecretName101 (talk) 23:56, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  7.   Oppose This is a bad idea.... these kinds of projects already exist in wikibooks, this is unneeded. Arep Ticous 01:07, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I'd be, perhaps, interested in supporting a project that focuses less on the "history" of foods, and instead exclusively on recipe. If this instead proposed to spin-off cookbooks (in order to enable it to more easily go multilingual), I'd perhaps be in support of that. SecretName101 (talk) 00:01, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  1.   Oppose. See Wikipedia and Wikibooks. --Hérisson grognon (talk) 13:54, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  2.   Oppose Wikipedia and Wikibooks subproject is a better fit.Greatder (talk) 05:55, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Conclusion

edit

Probably stale, no support except proposer in 10 years. AnotherEditor144 t - c 12:46, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, there was somebody else. But still 2-4. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by AnotherEditor144 (talk) 12:51, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see much support, so this might have to be closed as stale. AnotherEditor144 t - c 07:28, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tagged as redundant (and also there is no support) - there's the Cookbook on Wikibooks for that. Leaderboard (talk) 15:01, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
