Dear YShibata! Yesterday, I spotted Wikimedians of Japan (talk · contribs · CA). Is this an official account of Japanese Wikimedians or is an impersonation? Thanks for answering. Sincerley, A09090091 (talk) 08:57, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mr/Ms A09090091. I wrote this sentence because I received a notification. I'm not an English speaker so I don't understand well, but am I suspected of being impersonating something? I'm not a representative of anything, I'm just a new JAWP user. I have no intention of impersonating anyone, but was there something wrong with my name?
(This Sentence is made in japanese and translated into English. The Japanese text is the original and the English text is for reference purposes. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these two texts, the Japanese text shall prevail.) Wikimedians of Japan (talk) 10:53, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Wikimedians of Japan: I spotted it in user creation log on Slovene wiki. As Wikimedians of Japan have their own usergroup, your username may be confusing and understanded as an official account of above usergroup. Not to be rude, but I suggest you request a rename for account. Multiple Wikipedias have username policies and many forbid usernames that may seem to be in shared use.
(made by Google Translate). @A09090091 hello, in my humble thoughts, you have a wrong person to contact about this issue you are concerned. YShibata is a contractor at WMF to facilitate Enforcement guidelines and ratification voting, so pls kindly talk to Trust&Safety full-time staff or others if you doubt a cross-wiki vandalism. Onegai shimasu. Cheers, -- Omotecho (talk) 15:13, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Omotecho: I don't suspect any cross-wiki vandalism. Just wanted to know, if the account is an official account of Japanese Wikimedians. Sincerly, A09090091 (talk) 19:02, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@A09090091, thank you for clarification, and you are very kind to let me know. For your information, I have posted to talk_userpage at jawiki of the person in concern a template:subst:Welcome/ja, which indicates ways to find further help on jawiki. Guess our mutual effort would open the passage for a newcomer, and gratitude for your insight starting this path. Cordially, -- Omotecho (talk) 04:49, 12 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Omotecho: I suggest explaining problem to the newcomer in Japanese as I really don't want to bite newcomers, but in my honest opinion "safety" reasons were given. However you decide, I think we can close my question and leave it as is. Thanks for your cooperation. Sincerly A09090091 (talk) 10:57, 12 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Comment Yes, case closed for me, and please be assured that the user has asked for advice to explain of our Guidelines on ja language community, a trusted community member answered in a very honest and caring manner, and a follow-up question was posted again, to which the same answering person told details on global perspective.
Nobody is bitten IMHO, and I wish the advised user would find it comfortable to learn the Guideline we peer editors support locally. Thank you offering us a chance to find somebody trying to find the way for editorship, and your consideration towards the feelings of a newcomer. My heart is very warm recalling this short encounter with you. Gratefully, Omotecho (talk) 12:22, 14 March 2022 (UTC) YShibata (WMF) (talk) 23:26, 22 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
