Russian version of the CEE Nesletter

edit

Hi! Very thanks for Russian version of the CEE Nesletter. One question - what you don't using Translate extension for this task? This may allow limiting the languages into which translation is recommended. Kaganer (talk) 22:01, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Kaganer Main page for the Newsletter containing a lot of transcluded templates, and we need to think about that, if we use translate tags. I am not very knowledgeable into translate tags on Meta, but I will speak with Jan, our editor-in-chief, as he knows more than me. --TRistovski-CEEhub (talk) 10:56, 5 February 2024 (UTC) (written initially from my volunteer account)Reply
@TRistovski-CEEhub, already after my post I saw that it uses "transcluded" subpages for each separate stories.
Indeed, marking up each one pages for translation can be quite laborious (translation markup will have to be done in the source pages). But if you decide to support not only Russian translation, but also other languages, this approach may be more profitable. Kaganer (talk) 18:32, 5 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
