Broken redirects "T-cxemizo"

About T-cxemizo: there are ca 2'000 broken redirects at eowikt. I am not fully happy with them, but they have been created in good faith, and they redirect to pages that are supposed to exist. Please do not propose deletion of individual pages of that type. Taylor 49 (talk) 19:31, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

i am sorry @Taylor 49-san i respect the energy and the effort that people put on to create those redirects, but as far as i know there is no encyclopedic purpose, i've faced same issue while patrolling other projects, i saw some broken redirects dating back to 5-7 years ago, and many other redirects range from 9 months to 3-2 months old, i can understand 5-6 months old redirect but over 6 months to years? i can't understand their purpose. 🌸 Sakura emad 💖 (talk) 20:09, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

"eowikt" is a dictionary. Articles there serve dictionary purpose, not encyclopedic purpose. As about those broken redirects, I am unsure. But there is no point to delete one of ca 2'000 such. Taylor 49 (talk) 20:32, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

They were not created by me. The creator is one of very few valuable contributors to that wiki. As said, they all redirect to pages that are supposed to exist. Taylor 49 (talk) 20:44, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

Re:Revert a translation

Hi Sakura, it's very simple, it depends by the translate extension. When someone create a new translation (just see some edits here), you see two edits, one of which is a page creation. For example, 1 and 2 are the same translation. So, in this case you can't revert directly the diff (see here), but you have just to tag for deletion this one (the page creation). Naah, it's not hard, you just need to practice a little, consider that with each translation you see two edits for the same thing. One can be reversed/tagged for deletion (with the "Translations:" prefix), while the other not. Best :) Superpes15 (talk) 19:24, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Pages themselves are suffixed with the language code (Ex: Privacy policy/vi), pages that use localization are all transcluded from Translation: page(s). So, when you tag for speedy deletion on Translation: pages, they will also appear on the content page. Sorry, I forgot some context. Thank you for asking! :)

The sentence looks like All traffic will switch on '''{{#time:$defaultformat|$date|$format_language_code}}'''.. In English it will show: "All traffic will switch on March 1"; in Arabic it shows: "سوف تنتقل حركة البيانات كلها يوم ١ مارس."

We use the #time system to change "March 1" to a different date when needed. The idea is that we don't ask people to translate the date, we do it once for good. Next time, I will change the date, and the message will update automatically.

The idea is to translate the sentence All traffic will switch on '''{{#time:$defaultformat|$date|$format_language_code}}'''. and keep the code {{#time:$defaultformat|$date|$format_language_code}} untranslated. When translating, think that {{#time:$defaultformat|$date|$format_language_code}} will display "March 1" already translated in ckb language.

The important thing for us it to tell communities that during Tech/Server switch, we switch all traffic between datacenters, and that it will happen on March 1.
