Hi. Thank you for helping us provide more language options in the Steward election. Recently, you added the Russian translation to guillom's entry [1]. If you open the edit box for guillom's statement and browse through the languages available there, however, you will notice that there was already a version of his statement in Russian, which means that now there are two of them. Maybe you could check them to see which one would be best and remove the other one? Thank you in advance. Redux 17:44, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. Someone has already removed one of the versions. But since it wasn't done by someone who speaks Russian, and if you would like, you can still look into the two versions and, if necessary, restore the deleted version and put it in the place of the one that was left there. Cheers, Redux 19:40, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I didn't mention there was another russian version. Paginazero deleted one of them (I think it was his version). --Obersachse 21:37, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fundraising Translators edit

Hi Obersachse, my name is Deniz and I am working for the Wikimedia Foundation during the 2010 Fundraiser. My job is to be your liaison between the Russian community and the Foundation. This year's fundraiser is intended to be a collaborative and global effort, we recognize that banner messages that perform well in the United States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to international audiences. I'm contacting you as I am currently looking for translators who are willing to contribute to this project, translating messages into Russian and suggesting messages that would appeal to Russian readers on the Fundraising Meta Page. Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping with this project, and add your feedback to the proposed messages as well! I look forward to working with you during this year's fundraiser. --Dgultekin 19:55, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Of course I'm ready to help. But I've a better idea. I've asked Wulfson, a professional translator to help You. I think, he'll agree. --Obersachse 16:09, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Wonderful, thank you for recruiting Wulfson, Please continue to send people to Meta to comment on Russian banners and add their own, it'll be great to have all the banners running on the Russian sites localized and not just generic, translated banners. --Deniz (WMF) 19:04, 17 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
