Account usurpation

Hi dferg! I can't log-in in a lot of wikis due to people who created accounts with the same name as mine but never edited (why do they make accounts never to use anyway?). Could you help me usurping the accounts that have zero edits and never had activity? Having to come to each wiki to ask this to local bureaucrats is disgusting... Hello Striker. I'm afraid I can not usurp the unattached accounts that appears here because all those wikis have local bureaucrats and thus right now we are not allowed to perform username changes there. You'll need to ask wiki by wiki. At least I'd try usurping it in commons at commons:COM:CHU (1 single edit) and in dewiki at de:Wikipedia:Benutzernamen ändern/Benutzernamens-Übernahme (no edits/logs/deleted contributions -- I can help you with this one if you want to). Hello Dferg. in RFC, we are arguing with same persons in our local wikipedia. It makes RFC become non sense to solve the matter. Imagen sin licencia

Gracias por el llamado de atención. La imagen corresponde a un acto en el cual Wikimedia Argentina firmó un acuerdo con el Ministerio de Educación de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. La subí para ilustrar el reporte del Grant, pero la foto no nos pertenece. Tiene copyright de la Provincia de BuenosAires. Esa es la razón por la cual no la subí a commons, ya que no es una imagen libre.Tenía dudas sobre si usarla o no para el reporte, aunque la usamos para nuestra nota de prensa en el sitio de wikimedia. De hecho, ellos mismos nos enviaron la foto para ilustrar nuestra nota de prensa. Qué te parece que hagamos con ella? La dejamos aquí en el reporte o la damos de baja. No podemos liberarla ni subirla a Commons, pues su licencia no es nuestra ni es libre. --MotherForker 17:45, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Hola Moises. Ha sido un placer. Wikisource-es sólo tiene una burócrata (LadyInGrey) así que la solicitud puede demorarse un poco. Voy a dejarle una nota en su discusión para que en cuanto inicie sesión vea la tarea... pero lleva 3 meses sin editar. Si no contestara en una semana o así me encargo yo de usurparla. ¿Tienes los enlaces a las páginas de solicitud para los otros proyectos? Desysop

Hi Dferg,

I just noticed that you removed my adminbit in April this year, according to the policy.

But the policy says that the admin bit can be removed when a administrator didn't do 10 edits the past six months, according to my edits I had 9 that aren't deleted and I have some deleted edits also. That way I had enough edits to keep the adminbit.

I'm requesting you that you give me the adminbit back, I'm sure it was removed by mistake.

sobre licencias fotográficas

Vengo a preguntarte como Steward porque supongo que tendrás un conocimiento más amplio y me podrás informar mejor. Si no es así, pido disculpas y te pido que me digas a quién puedo acudir. He preguntado a algún bibliotecario sobre el tema pero no me ha sabido responder. Al grano: Recientemente he visto publicadas sin citar fuentes, licencias ni autorías algunas de las fotos que he subido a Commons en distintos medios: aquí (escaneado que amablemente me paso otro Wikipedista de una publicación periódica en papel), aquí o aquí, por ejemplo. Mi pregunta es ¿existe algún departamento o sección en Wikimedia que se dedique a advertir de forma legal a quienes publican obras (no sólo fotos, también textos) sin tener en cuenta las licencias bajo las que se publican? Porque yo puedo, cada vez que me encuentre con eso, emplear buena parte de mis recursos en ponerme en contacto con ellos, advertirles y que, al final, pasen de uno. Si existe, ¿cuál es el enlace? Si no existe ¿podría proponerse hacer un departamento así? Un departamento donde se pudieran enviar las posibles violaciones de licencia desde elementos externos a Wikipedia, tanto de fotos como de textos, vídeos, etc. Ya que en la Wiki ponemos tanto empeño en no violar copyrights, también se debería hacer un esfuerzo por proteger nuestros derechos, ¿te parece?. Hola David. Lo siento pero no existe ningún departamento de Wikimedia dedicado a ello. Te comento: aunque las imágenes que subes a commons son en teoría una donación, los derechos morales de la obra los sigue conservando su autor; en este caso tú, y es a tí a quien te corresponde tomar las acciones correspondientes para que se respete la licencia de tu trabajo. En este caso deberían no sólo decir que has sido tu el autor de la imagen, sino también que está liberada bajo licencia GFDL/CC-BY-SA-3.0 y procede de Wikimedia Commons. Por si te sirve de ayuda, en w:Wikipedia:Standard_license_violation_letter tienes unos modelos de comunicación (en inglés) para advertir a los reutilizadores de tu trabajo que han violado las licencias. Si no hiciesen caso, siempre podrías ponerte en contacto con CEDRO (aunque creo que sólo te ayudan si estás asociado) o buscar a un abogado para que presentase la demanda judicial correspondiente y se te resarciese por los daños ocasionados (y esto ya sería en última instancia). Si hablas inglés y quieres preguntarle al abogado de la Fundación acerca de tu problema el quizás te pueda asesorar mejor. Es Geoff Brigham y puede ser contactado por correo electrónico.
