Hi Lysdexia,

Contrarywise to what you mentionned on uncivility, there is a requirement of civility asked to contributors. And those repeatedly being uncivil may end banned (after months if not years unfortunately).

Incidentely, I thank you for correcting my mistakes, but it would be ever better without the "grrrrr" added in comments.

Thanks

Anthere

(My name is lysdexia, not Lysdexia.) Prove that there is a requirement. Who decide/determine requirements? It's certainly not one person like you. No, it's not better without the "grrrrr". If you don't like honesty and rightfulness, then don't read it. lysdexia 13:59, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Hi Lysdexia. Please do not write on signed comments. Correct them or leave them alone. I understand that errors in grammar and spelling annoy you, but there's no need to be arrogant about it. You display disrespect for people who care so much about this project that they are willing to read and write in a language they are not familiar with. Their contribution is greatly valued, despite their poor spelling. -- Tim Starling 06:13, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Correcting comments would be misrepresentation. I will not change the content and habits of someone's comments; you are advocating an unethical and illegal practice. However, by putting bracketed comments in addition, it not only points out a mistake made but phrases which haven't enough meaning to correct. Anthère's misspellings are not English-specific: there are all kinds. lysdexia 13:59, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Since you seem to be following English Wikipedia rules, let me express that I consider your adding sic behind what I write and comments such as Why does a Frenchie write the English texts?? extremely inappropriate and bordering trollish behavior. Sometimes, blocking for trolling may happen. So I hope you reconsider and improve your edits so as to avoid me to click on the block button. Aside from that, I appreciate your typo and grammar corrections. Anthere 07:23, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

PS, this place is mostly in English, but all internationals are welcome to participate. I write in English because if I were writing in French, few people would understand. Anthere

My comments are wholly appropriate, apt, and apropos. You cannot find anything to justify my blocking. There are no rules against what I've done. If I, or anyone else, had merely corrected your comments, they would mostly be ignored unless one reads the history. The point of bringing attention to your [and others'] mistakes is for you [or them] to learn, not for you [or them] to forget and begin making mistakes again. lysdexia 13:59, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

No improvement. Sorry, but blocked for 3 days. Anthere 17:16, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)

You don't even know what you're doing. I've heard of admins abusing their powers, so this must be a case. lysdexia 13:59, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I removed your sics. I would like to ask you again not to add sics everywhere. If you feel like putting sics everywhere, avoid adding comments at the same time, as your comments are likely to be reverted at the same time than the sic are reverted. Basically, the situation is either to block you or to revert what you write when you transform what people write. It is not kind that you do so and when you are explained again and again that putting sics everywhere is hurting some people, and you go on doing it without caring, that means that you are doing it on purpose and do not care at all what other people feelings are. I believe people here are trying to be cooperative. I do not think you are. This is for me an argument to block you. I would very much prefer that you try being more cooperative. Anthere.
If you haven't checked already, I made some huge arguments justifying my actions on the English Wikipedia's RfC. If you can counter them, I'd be glad to stop putting [sic] in people's comments, not that they change them. If you cannot, then the admins are wrong. Where do you explain I'm hurting people? 69.108.172.248 05:29, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I have not checked. Not everyone follows what is said on the english RfC. Actually, most people have no idea what RfC are. I do not think you should expect people to have read those. Nor should you expect people to try to find them, then to try to find your comments over there. For what you do HERE, please explain yourself HERE, and do so in an easy way for a non english person. Then, I can consider them with attention. Thanks. Anthere

Lysdexia, your comments on the wikipedia to the moon discussion (with exception of the comment on the #not stance) are counterproductive. Correct the grammar and don't comment; policing does nothing but distract all readers. This is a wikiproject and observing other's mistakes is clearly your strength. Use it to benefit others, not to tear them apart while they are working very hard coming up with a solution. You will never hound all writers into spelling correctly. Stop this exercise in frustration for your own sake and everyone else's. Rememberlands (talk) 16:46, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I correct diction, seldom composition (or grammar, a barbarism of ghrammatics). Like this: It's shall, not will; will means "like to". I'm not allowed to "correct" comments as policy says, despite the wiki platform, which is why I comment. Anyway there isn't a policy on your complaint nor a contraindication on my complaints. lysdexia (talk) 02:03, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
