:) edit

Yes - but it was a redlink & it is useful for people who do not visit Meta very often to have the information in it. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:40, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

SpBot edit

Hi Euku. I'm requesting that your bot be flagged now. Could you please activate it here, then? Please also verify if there's any error in {{autoarchive resolved section}} and {{section resolved}}. Best regards, —MarcoAurelio 11:21, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello Marco! Thanks for help! The bot is online now, but got some problems.. :) It was able to edit the target pages for Vandalism reports, but it cannot remove the sections from the source.
As the filter checks user_editcount < 15 this problem should be gone soon. I'll do 10 dummy edits with SpBot...
My own small test was successful, so I think actually it should work. The bot will run daily at 3 am UTC - the same time as set for commons and wikidata. --Euku (talk) 14:01, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hello Euku! Thank you. Your bot is flagged now and should not encounter further abusefilter problems. Should you run into them again, please reach me or the other admins at RFH. Can the bot when archiving use {{archive-header}} instead {{talkarchive}}? Thank you! —MarcoAurelio 18:36, 9 April 2016 (UTC) PS: maybe an |archive-header= parameter could be implemented in the bot's code, so we could customize this on a per-page basis. Best regards.Reply
Talkarchive vs. archive header: Ok, I changed that, but don't like that, because I want to hold the number of exceptions for each project to a minimum. My idea was that meta, commons and wikidata (and maybe any other English speaking project in the future) can use the same templates.
Years ago - at the time this bot was just running in the German Wikipedia, we had a parameter such as |archive-header=. But it was removed because de:Template:Archiv supports customization in the same way as Template:Section resolved#Own design does. I like that idea more, because you can use the same template for all of pages (and I don't have to change the bot's code :-). --Euku (talk) 08:41, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

MediaWiki talk:Common.css edit

Hallo Euku. I set up MediaWiki talk:Common.css for archival but SpBot is not processing it. Is there any error in the template syntax? As for other pages, the bot is working very well. Many thanks. MfG, —MarcoAurelio 07:14, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello Macro, sorry, it's still this bug. I fixed the page. --Euku (talk) 10:44, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Archives on Talk:Title blacklist edit

Hi Euku, as you can see ArchiverBot doesn't archive the page Talk:Title blacklist since much time ago (see User_talk:Whym#ArchiverBot_on_Talk:Title_blacklist); what do you think about this page to be archived by SpBot? Syum90 (talk) 13:07, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think the best way to archive this page would be to archive a section only when the template {{section resolved}} is placed there or when the template {{status}} is not "in progress".--Syum90 (talk) 14:17, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, you can start using the bot there. This is what it was made for. :) But it can't react to any other template than section resolved. --Euku (talk) 17:14, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Requests have to be archived at their corresponding section: "Proposed additions", "Proposed removals" or "Troubleshooting and problems"; could the bot do it? As we need the requests to be archived only when resolved, we can set the time to archive to a very long time, so they would be archived only by adding the template {{section resolved}}. Syum90 (talk) 08:01, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, after discussing with Steinsplitter, I think your bot could archive Meta:Requests for deletion and Meta:Proposed page moves, and SteinsplitterBot could archive Talk:Title blacklist. I only need to know if your bot could archive the requests on the corresponding sections of the archives for Meta:Requests for deletion: Meta:Requests for deletion/Archives/2016.--Syum90 (talk) 12:13, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I missed the requirement for Talk:Title blacklist. For Meta:Requests for deletion/Archives/2016 SpBot also has to find the right target section depending on discussion result. Sorry, the bot cannot do this. But for Meta:Proposed page moves it should work. I can't see anything special on that page. --Euku (talk) 08:24, 27 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

SpBot is now archiving "Meta:Proposed page moves". For the moment we'll keep archiving "Meta:Requests for deletion" by hand. Thank you very much.--Syum90 (talk) 09:01, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
