not bad :-)

Here are two comments on the spot

I do not think I would put the images you put, as they could be confused with a logo.

But...

At the same time, the text forgets to explain that Wikipedia is a collaborative work. It is hinted, but not really said plainly. For example, the fact an article has many authors. Not only one is unclear. I think this would gain being said.

Àt the same time, we could make a separate page to explain what the wikimedia community is (or wikipedians, or wikinewsies), and talk a bit about our organisation. Journalists are for example always curious of what really is a sysop or what is a steward.

Here, the logo with all these people could be used.

What do you think ? Anthere 07:26, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your feedbacks. I agree on that we need to refer our collaborative aspects. First I thought it is okay with "Our projects" but it is not bad to refrain it. Every articles are product of collaborative work, everyone can edit articles even without registered.
And I appriciate you on remarking community side. I prefer to refer to Wikimedia community in another page because of size (I hate scrolls ;-)). There we will tell how the community communicate, make decisions, organize the community. There explaination comes who are sysops, buraeucrats or stewards. But for Wikipedia such explanation on the community are better to be refer in one place. As for "Logo with all these people" it is here by chance (on the wmf site it should be the normal Wikipedia logo) and I am not sure I would like to use it ... but as you say, a page focusing on the community it could match.
I try to improve the pages. Again, thank you. --Aphaia | WQ2翻訳中 | talk 08:12, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
