Movement Advocacy Manager, Wikimedia Foundation

About me

I'm an Austrian-American living in London. I’m passionate about using digital technologies to help communities have their voices heard in policy arenas, and counteracting extractive technologies and practices. I've been a digital-rights activist, anti-surveillance and racist algorithm researcher with the ACLU, and have worked on digital identity and emerging humanitarian technology programs while at Oxford. Thanks to two years at LinkedIn, I can rock anyone's profile.

On the side I volunteer with groups that focus on youth empowerment through sports and relationship abuse education. I'm also a proud member of the Austrian National Team (Lacrosse) and just came off the 2022 World Cup.

My work

As the first ever Movement Advocacy Manager, I'm building out a function that will help the policy team develop and execute plans for advancing Wiki's public policy values, particularly through communications and partnerships with affiliates. I plan to combine my activist background and policy research experience to bring grassroots energy to the Foundation's policy initiatives.
