Ariel Cetrone (WMDC)

Greetings! My name is Ariel and I am the Institutional Partnerships Manager for Wikimedia DC, the regional outreach organization for Wikipedia and the other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation.

In this role, I assist partners in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware with the planning and implementation of collaborative Wikipedia editing events such as Wikipedia editing workshops and edit-a-thons. During these events, individuals come together with the goal of improving Wikipedia's depth and accuracy in particular subject areas. These events are often themed or tied to a partner's current goals, collections, exhibitions or festivals. Training for new Wikipedia editors is frequently provided.
