Deduplicating mental models :) edit

Hi @LiAnna (Wiki Ed): how does this UG, WikiEdu, and the WMF Education team relate? –SJ talk  20:24, 4 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Sj:! Great question. :) The user group serves as a global connector for program leaders worldwide. We, for example, put on global Open Meetings every couple months, run a mentorship program to pair experienced program leaders with those newer to the education program, and are planning an EduWiki Conference when we can do those in person again. Wiki Education is an organizational member of the user group (as are many affiliates) and runs the education program in the US and Canada (I personally am Wiki Education staff but also serve as chair of the user group board). The WMF education team runs more global programming around Wikimedia projects and education, like their Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom project. The user group board meets every month or so with the WMF education team to make sure our efforts are aligned. Let me know if you have any further questions! --LiAnna (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:19, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
That makes sense! Thank you. Sometimes I want any reference to one to have dab links to the other two... –SJ talk  23:19, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
