Is this legal? edit

RexxS, please can you enlighten me as to the rules about notice of a WMUK AGM? It appears that just three days notice have been given. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 11:08, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Redrose64: The Articles of Association require "twenty-one clear days for an Annual General Meeting". See wmuk:Articles of Association #Notice of General Meetings. The usual notice goes out by email to all members, which I think was well over a month ago, and is followed up by the written calling notice with voting papers by post. If you're not receiving emails from WMUK, please let the office know and they can chase up whatever the problem is.
Because we want to make sure that we meet the quorum to conduct business, the page here was created to try to encourage more folks to attend. It's an advert, not the actual notification. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 13:49, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Membership? edit

Are non-WMUK members able to attend? Andy Dingley (talk) 12:21, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes, of course, Andy, everyone is welcome. --RexxS (talk) 13:36, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Apologies edit

I'm not planning on going to the London meetup myself; a six-day week with travel thrown in might be a bit much for other staff – it certainly is for me! Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 15:31, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
