Updates from WMLGBT+ Board?

Where can we read about what’s going on with WMLGBT+, the board, the recruitment of staff, and the next board member election? I see there’s been some activity recorded in Spanish, but I would love to have more recent activity and plans reported. Thanks. Peltarion (talk) 07:58, 12 December 2024 (UTC)

@Peltarion: Thanks for the tag; I hadn't seen your previous comment.

Due to illnesses and volunteer capacity, we've been discussing things informally rather than having proper board meetings lately.

As a very brief update, we have received over 50 applications for the 2 vacancies we advertised and we are coming close to completing our first-pass of those applicants, so we can invite a much smaller number to interview. We also held a World AIDS Day editathon, with the help of several national affiliates. No progress has yet been made on further Board recruitment, but that does need addressing in the near-term future.

Our formal reporting month to AffCom and the Foundation is January so, as well as UG and Board meetings in the New Year, there will be a more formal annual report available within the next few weeks.
