In the context of the Movement Charter, the Wikimedia Foundation called for a community election process on short notice.

One community claim or perspective is that paid staff of the Wikimedia Foundation gave notice that was insufficient as compared to Wikimedia community volunteer norms. This resulted in a rush for volunteers to organize labor and conversation, all under pressure and without resources, to organize weighty decisions.

Some Wikimedia Foundation staff responded by saying that they had no idea that the Wikimedia community had particular expectations, and that they were compliant with expectations of which they were aware.

I have heard Wikimedia Foundation commitments lots of times but they seem to require formal publication and request and want a more defined process. This page is some expectations in publication. Blue Rasberry (talk) 02:42, 12 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
