  • Odder níže navrhuje větší a dražší tisk na PVC, budete tu možnost chtít prozkoumat, nebo zůstanete u fotek? Přiznávám že při současném využití na chodby úplně nevím jestli to má smysl, ale třeba pro Národní technické muzeum by to smysl mít mohlo. (Jinak existuje možnost i větších formátu na fotopapír, u Fotostaru je 40×60 za 250 Kč, a 5é×75 za 350.) --che 10:22, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
    • Ahoj, o těch pvc jsme přemýšleli, ale podle nás cena/výkon dost neodpovídá. Pokud by bylo oko ochotno dát víc peněž, tak víme i o těch větších formátech - nechtěl jsem větší, hlavně, abychom nebyli příliš velký finanční náklad.--Frettie (talk) 12:00, 9 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Just a couple of comments

Hello there!
As an organiser of the first-ever travelling exhibition of the winning POTY images organised by Wikimedia Polska, I would just like to add some small comments on your proposal — and please accept my apologies for writing this in English, as my Czech is just awful.

Firstly, I am afraid that A3 is too small to have a pleasant view of the pictures; in Poland, we had them printed on A0 and A1 and it was fine for most of the pictures; so please consider printing them at least on the A2 format. Moreover, I would advise you not to use a simple photographic paper, but to consider printing the pictures on PVC charts — it would rule out the possibility of breaking the glass and also reduce the costs of shipping the exhibition between various places in the Czech Republic; a PVC print also cannot be stained or easily damaged. The only problem is the price, though, which would be considerably higher than a print on photographic paper.

And as for the QR codes, I would also suggest using QRpedia instead of a self-created system; QRpedia allows people to display the information in a language of their choice without the limitation to the Czech Wikipedia only — for example, people having English language set as the default language on their smartphones would see an English Wikipedia article on a chosen subject.

Lastly, with regard to the media and press releases, you might be willing to get as local as possible. We in Poland have sent our press releases to as many local media as possible; we have also used the Polish Press Agency and reached the biggest on-line media in the country, which resulted in over 1,000 visitors to the exhibition in Warsaw, and several hundreds in other places (it is estimated that over 2,500 people have so far visited the exhibition in three locations: Poznań, Warsaw and Bytom in Silesia, close to the Polish-Czech border). Leaflets and posters are of course an additional way of promoting the exhibition which you might want to consider.
