Basic project policies edit

I have tried to resove some of the points brought up by Angela on Talk:Wikilabs. I would anticipate that the number of new project actually going onto here would be at most the current rate of about 1 or 2 per month, but I may be surprised. The whole point of holding the vote for new project creation is to help keep that number down, and to make sure that there is going to be a support community behind the new project idea before it even gets onto the incubator wiki. Most of the new project proposals on Meta that fail miserably are usually just the idea of one or two people where they throw out an idea and don't do any follow through to see the project become something viable.

If they have gone through the steps of trying to make a reasonable proposal, including an annoucement on Foundation-l and Goings-on, with a creation of a formal vote page as well, it is a strong demonstation that they are serious about adding some real content as well. --Roberth 18:39, 18 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
