Talk:Wiki Women Camp 2017/Report
Hi Muñoz LC and Wotancito. Thank you for this detailed report and to the entire team for organizing such a wonderful event! It was a truly special opportunity for wikiwomen to gather in person, share experiences, discuss challenges, build connections, and discuss potential ways forward. Those of us at WMF who were fortunate to attend were very impressed with the local organizing team and all of the volunteers from Wikimedia Mexico. We really appreciate their hospitality and the thoughtful care with which they organized the event. We also learned a lot about creating spaces conducive to tough conversations, making events more accessible, and the importance of unstructured time to allow for more connection and creativity.
Since the event we have definitely witnessed more collaboration across projects and languages. However, it would be helpful to know if you believe the conference has lead to any common strategies targeting some of the main challenges raised in discussions -- harassment, policies, and awareness building. What do you think is needed to support the momentum from these conferences moving forward?
Thank you again for all your efforts. Best, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 01:34, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
