is fashion a sport?Arlo Barnes (talk) 10:14, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps it becomes sport as soon as we assign "winners" and "losers"? Amigadachi (talk) 21:42, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Can you please indicate where did you find the word sport? As at that time this campaign was written together with Wiki Loves Sport, is possible something has escaped. --Camelia (talk) 09:35, 25 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ok, got it, the nav bar. --Camelia (talk) 09:38, 25 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

High heels??

edit

High heels are associated with substantial negative health impacts (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-heeled_shoe#Health_impacts) and are widely criticized by feminist thinkers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-heeled_shoe#Feminism). I just thought I'd do a little consciousness-raising and suggest that Wiki Loves Fashion might be better off with a more neutral icon. I'm sure the intent wasn't to alienate anyone or to take sides in the Culture Wars. Gould363 (talk) 21:49, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

For what it represents, but also because it is a good quality image (the best I found at that time in various categories like this: c:Category:Clothing_icons, a svg) and for the contrast of its salmon color with the blue of the background, when I created the project I considered this an image that was just fine. If I had put a ballerina, I might have displeased someone who writes about medicine who might have contested that I am "taking a stand" on a shoe that hurts our back (here: en:Ballet_flat for example it is not written, but on the web, you can find various sources that support it). We are describing clothes, costumes, accessories and so on, we are not taking positions (even on this?). Actually, after this comment, I wanted to take into account and tried to shorten the heel with image editing tools, but not being a designer, I couldn't. If someone knows how to do it, the image of the campaign can be gladly changed with this new version. --Camelia (talk) 09:35, 25 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
