User group cooperation - Special effort on pt.wiki

Hello, the Wikimedia Community Brazilian Group of Education and Research decided to support this initiative on pt.wiki. During this/next next months we will work on that task force improving articles, categories and using media uploaded during the Wiki Loves Earth Brasil. Since the "Biosphere Reserves" are directly related to our efforts and WLE contest, we will try to move forward starting by that information. Since we have all articles created we will add that reserves on our monuments lists to collect Brazilian pictures regarding them. Best regards. Rodrigo Padula (talk) 15:30, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

Articles needed in Arabic

@Mervat Salman: wonderful :) I'm very sorry for the late reply, these pages are very much a work in progress, please let me know if you have any suggestions to help improve them to be more useful. The images UNESCO has made available on Wikimedia Commons might be a good place to start? I've created some resoruces to help reuse the tools including for Arabic language Wikiprojects (have a look at the 'unused media' section). I'm hoping to get some official descriptions in Arabic released under CC-BY-SA soon, similar to this page for Biosphere Reserves, do you think it would be difficult to create the template it uses (Template:Open-source attribution) on ar.wikipedia? Third UN Ocean Conference (June 2025 at Nice, France)

Hi everyone,

I'm a wikimedian in residence at Côte d'Azur University (Nice, France). The Third UN Ocean Conference is organized at Nice in June 2025. So this year (September 2024 to September 2025) is the "Year of the Sea" in France.

I would like to organize some editathons with wikimedians and scholars dedicated to oceans during this year. If I'm alone, I will organize regional events.
