Examples of hubs edit

Could someone please give some examples of what hubs are and how they are different from affiliates like chapters or user groups? 2601:647:4D00:2C40:28EA:682:D0D5:9FF7 06:29, 16 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

There were several proposals from ESEAP, Wikimedia Sweden, Wikimedia Norway and WikiFranca (among others) for such hubs in the last hubs meeting in January 2021. You may find a few brief video summaries of those proposals in the meeting's report. I hope this helps --Abbad (WMF) (talk) 19:07, 21 April 2021 (UTC).Reply

Declaration of interest edit

The last strategy update said: "We encourage everyone interested in hubs to declare their interest". We have talked about creating a hub around sustainable development in Wikimedians for Sustainable Development, so please consider our official declaration of interest declared now. @Ainali: Thank you for expressing your interest. There will be a proper page on meta set up for this purpose, and for further discussion of hubs, really soon. If you do not mind it, I'll ping you once it's set up --Abbad (WMF) (talk) 19:08, 21 April 2021 (UTC).Reply
