Talk:Requests for comment/Flagged revisions deployment
@Dereckson: I'd like to invite you to summarize the outcome, formulate follow-up questions and/or close this request. In the current state I highly doubt any further developments on the topic. Effeietsanders (talk) 02:31, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- Some follow up on developments since would be nice too because there were/is multiple tickets regarding this. --Zache (talk) 06:11, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Zache: I think you'll have to direct that question directly at a person that you think may be able to do that. Could it otherwise be closed? Effeietsanders (talk) 23:07, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- It was directed to @Dereckson: too who started the RfC and created of tickets as follow up actions. I guess that I and @Nemo bis: can help him with it too. However major thing is that this is FR is still pending inside the WMF and I guess that Derecson is best for getting information related to that --Zache (talk) 11:51, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- I think the global Wikimedia communities has enough information to reach a conclusion on what the preferred outcome would be and on what configuration should be considered acceptable in the present situation, although things might change with different development efforts by WMF or others. However, I don't expect to have enough time to follow up on this in the next couple months. --Nemo 18:56, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
So now what will be future of Flagged revisions?
editRfc closed after several years without any clearly conclusion, and still have a long queue of request for setup Flagged revisions, but never have response about will it can be process or not. As Vietnamese Wikipedia set a request after we get an important consensus in phab:T204354, but seem it diffcult for the project get extension by itself, same situation as many other requests.
It doesn't mean I desire about the action of developer for all request, because I aware about the tons of work to set up this extension, but at least there should be a conclusion about the future of Flagged revisions: will new request can be process, and what are standards for a process can be done, or the backlog will keep increase by time and never have result, with the waiting forever of communities whose already have consensus. --minhhuy (talk) 17:15, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Minh Huy: Please read Requesting wiki configuration changes: Gaining on-wiki consensus and filing a task does not guarantee that the request will be fulfilled. Ultimate authority lies with the system administrators, and site configuration requests may be declined due to performance issues or other considerations.
