Replace Alla Pugacheva for Jean-Michel Jarre or Jean-Jacques Perrey
I know how many she did for russian pop music, but I not sure, that she as notable as John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, or even Jarre and Perrey. Tucvbif (talk) 22:47, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
- Having another woman from non-Western Europe is better than adding another man. Theklan (talk) 14:22, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Maybe, it's the reason, why she is even get on this list. But I think it's too big handikap to stay in one row with Édith Piaf or Madonna. Tucvbif (talk) 16:08, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
We have two articles about very close meanings, speed and velocity, it's redundand. I think, free fall is very important concept, on a par with escape velocity or black body. Tucvbif (talk) 21:42, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- Also, speed and velocity are nearly the same in other languages. I would go with another physics concept, definitevely. Theklan (talk) 14:21, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Done No opposition for about four months. Tucvbif (talk) 15:43, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- Added the change to Wikidata, also. Theklan (talk) 16:42, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
It's even not a breed, just a color. Why it may be more important, than national symbol of GB? Tucvbif (talk) 10:42, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- This is an international list. Bulldog is more notable than a color that is only famous in GB. Theklan (talk) 14:23, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- I mean, bulldog is national symbol of GB. Why palomino is in this list, I have no idea. Tucvbif (talk) 15:35, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Done No opposition for three months. Tucvbif (talk) 15:45, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- Added the change to Wikidata, also. Theklan (talk) 16:42, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
Replace Nuclear engineering for Terraforming
Very vague umbrella term for bunch of engineering spheres. Let's replace it to (maybe) one of most significant engineering sphere of possible future. Tucvbif (talk) 19:14, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- I would do this or the Thermal power station one, but I think that Nuklear engineering OR Nuclear technology should be in the list. I would bo with Nuclear technology, because it seems broader than this one. Between both, Terraforming seems an interesting topic, and a new branch, because we have way more articles about energy and power. Theklan (talk) 11:16, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Replace Nuclear technology for Thermal power station
Same as previous. Let's replace it to one of basic power plants type. Tucvbif (talk) 19:22, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- Read the previous one (we can merge both proposals). Theklan (talk) 11:16, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Replace Human reliability with Industrialization
After recent changes at Wikidata articles on Human reliability remain in just 13 Wikis, with only English and Spanish out of all major European ones, but even before these changes there were articles in just 20 Wikis. It is doubtful that a concept for which a bunch of major Wikipedias (German, French, Russian, Italian) apparently haven't even bothered to create an article is in fact important enough to be included in a "should have" list of any reasonable volume. On the other hand, Industrialization is already covered in 66 languages, with developed and detailed articles in the major Wikis. It seems like a topic that gets much more attention as well as coverage in reliable sources and thus deserves to be added to the list in place of the less prominent one. Deinocheirus (talk) 20:55, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- I think that "Human reliability" should be changed, but by "cognitive bias (Q1127759)", which is related and in 42 languages. It covers the concept of human reliability from a broader point of view. Theklan (talk) 08:08, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
Replace The Shadow for Radio drama
Maybe, The Shadow is the iconic character at his home, but not as familliar outside. Let's replace him to one of the most significant type of radio show. Tucvbif (talk) 18:53, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. The Shadow should be a notable subsection of radio drama. Theklan (talk) 11:13, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom, The Shadow is way too esoteric. --Deinocheirus (talk) 21:01, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- Done No opposition for three month. Tucvbif (talk) 16:07, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
Replace Grand Ole Opry for Record chart
Maybe, the Grand Ole Opry is the iconic radio show at his home, but not as familliar outside. Let's replace it to one of the most significant type of radio shows. Tucvbif (talk) 18:56, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- Support The same argument. Theklan (talk) 11:13, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Done No opposition for three month. Tucvbif (talk) 16:07, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
Replace Peripheral for IBM PC compatible
Peripheral is just anything in computer, that not a processor, memory, support schemes (chipset) or power supply. Just nothing to write about this term, except random facts. IBM PC-compatible computers instead is one of most well-documented concepts. There so many books about its structure, parts, standarts etc. Also it's still one of most popular and most influential computer architecture. I think, it's should be in every Wikipedia. Tucvbif (talk) 16:09, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. The idea of a peripheral is quite universal and timeless (any computer uses peripherals) and important, whereas the idea of a computer being "IBM PC-compatible" is not relevant anymore. Also, an article on peripheral provides a good jumping-off point for articles about specific peripherals. -insert valid name here- (talk) 14:25, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- >computer being "IBM PC-compatible" is not relevant anymore.[citation needed]
- Most of modern desktops and laptops, except macs and rare exceptions, like cromebooks or pi-s, are still PC-compatible. ARM-based windows machines still rare today, but even if all the world will ditch all intel-base computers tomorrow, PC will remain as notable thing as it now, because Notability is not temporary. Don't you want to exclude article ENIAC just because it was outdated many years ago?
- Article «peripheral» instead can't go beyond definition and, maybe, coatrack for «specific peripherals». It's like article about «anything exclude planets, schissors and dog foods». Tucvbif (talk) 15:37, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
"Eruca sativa" (Q25694275) is a recognized species but it's linked to "Eruca vesicaria subsp. sativa" (Q156884), one of its synonyms
Eruca sativa should be linked to WD Q25694275 since it's a recognized species (see https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:1110374-2), Eruca vesicaria subsp. sativa was a subspecies of Eruca vesicaria but today it's only a synonym of Eruca Sativa (see https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:2798761-4). Great changes without discussion?
I just notice there are great differences between the "quota" mentioned on List of articles every Wikipedia should have/Expanded and the current actual number of articles.

Is there any discussion for the changes before? Ivanlam88 (talk) 14:09, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- Maybe, some of conceps just moved from Anthropology… group to other, more precise. For example, most of time measuring things moved to Technology. I think, we need to refine criteria for this group, or just dissolve it. Tucvbif (talk) 12:00, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
- Also, argument for dissolve this group is that most of concepts, contained in it, so vague and unclear or language-specific. It includes most of colors outside black, white and three basic ones. It includes most of psychologic concetps, like surprise, anxiety, sense, power — things, that we using in our discourse too wide, but can't properly describe and can't be sure that other people meaning on it the same as me. Especially if they speak other language. Tucvbif (talk) 12:45, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
Replace Armen Dzhigarkhanyan for Yasujirō Ozu
Ozu's movies Banshun and Tôkyô monogatari are included in the list of the best movies according to BFI 2022. I believe that his level of significance is higher than that of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan. Dzhigarkhanyan's significance is more local - he is important primarily for USSR and post-Soviet countries.--Reprarina (talk) 04:09, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
- USSR and post-Soviet countries is a very wide portion of the world. Most of the actors we have in the list are from the US. One of those should be suggested instead of a non-US actor. Theklan (talk) 07:24, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
- Actually, we have 6, not 4 Soviet actors in the list because Vladimir Vysotsky is not only a singer but he is also very important as an actor. See: ru:Владимир Высоцкий в театре and ru:Владимир Высоцкий в кино. Nikita Mikhalkov is also an actor, not only a director.Reprarina (talk) 09:18, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
Prelude is quite a vague genre, without clear criteria that can clearly distinguish it from toccata or fantasia. Motif is one of the most fundamental concepts in music.--Reprarina (talk) 10:57, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
