ASL proposal

edit

I was going to write it in User:SurdusVII's page but it is less dispersive if I ping him and paste it here directly. See please 2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Categories/Miscellaneous#American_Sign_Language_.28ASL.29_functionality_for_Wikipedia_pages. The idea is anglocentric but it's for you to know in any case.--Alexmar983 (talk) 04:56, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposal

edit

What if people join forces and propose a group not just for people with ear problem but with access issue, whatever they are. I mean color blindness, blindness and so on? Would that increase the possibility of lobbying, and also the chance of a bigger group? Or it tastes too much as "Indian reservation"?--Alexmar983 (talk) 04:59, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

SignIt secret project

Lingua Libre SignIt for Firefox (:meta:SignIt. Works on Chrome/Chomium (Install manually). Works on 660 French words as of now.
Fish in French Sign language

@Dazissimo, Etoile, Dore chakravarty, SurdusVII, DeafJones7, BoldLuis, and EthanRobertLee: Following Àncilu tips... I would like to early-share a (secret) information. Wikimedia France is developing a workflow and web extension to promote Sign Language literacy among the general public. The project is called LinguaLibre/SignIt. This is still experimental, French Sign Language-only, not yet officially announced nor promoted yet but the demonstrator extension works on French words. Plans are to test this FSL demonstrator further, then to encourage resources creation and to promote the tool in 2023. I though you may be interested to learn about this WM initiative and to check it out and may come up with ideas –technical, organizational, human-networking,...– around it. I'm especially interested by those, ping me if you see avenues for progress. Yug (talk) 20:40, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
