Hi, isn't possible to update this list by a bot? ken123 16:39, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

+1. It definitely is. Don't get why wasn't it done. --Base (talk) 18:19, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
That's still needed.--Pere prlpz (talk) 13:15, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi all, am I correct the zea.wikipedia.org is not on this list? How come? Lotje (talk) 17:02, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Probably because it's out of date. Please add any correct information that is missing. - dcljr (talk) 04:40, 16 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Statistics: Wrong figures for user contributions?

edit

Hi I just noted that the statistics show me a bug (?) for swahili-wikipedia. If I click my way from the stat-column thru to the list "ActiveUsers" I see at sw.wikipedia the name of "Andrew Dalby", shown with 86 edits during the last 30 days. I wondered as i never noticed this user and went to his page. The special:user contributions page of this user shows just 1 contribution in March 2014 and 6 more in 2011. That is all. Where does the number 86 come from? Does the list add contributions on other wikipedias?? So can i use any figure from that stat? Kipala (talk) 22:13, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Kipala it is hard to check now when it's already October of MMXV, but I think the thing is that IIRC the ActiveUsers page shows not just edits but actions which includes logged actions. I don't know how that particular user works but as for me sometimes I almost not edit some wikis I'm admin in but occasionally go there and patrol edits — such an activity would place me into the ActiveUsers list. --Base (talk) 02:59, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Define inactive

edit

I do not see a definition of inactive in here. Are we to apply as strict rule as AAR uses? I believe that for the sake of comparability of the data the criteria should be the same, so they are to be clear. --Base (talk) 20:02, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

An update

edit

I have cast a magic spell which has updated the page. The spell is being cast manually for now but I might try set it in a crystal in the magic land where unicorns dwell. The spell can work as long as the magic seals persist. If you want me to modify the spell like add new data or modify the way I summon existent one please write it here. Especially my question above is of interest to me. I have summoned some spirits and they have whispered me that the criteria of 1 year of no edits and no logged (even thank) actions is an inactivity. But they might have been stupid spirits. --Base (talk) 11:27, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Oh yeah and I'd need to know how often do I need to cast it either manually or from the crystal. रोहित रावत, Soul Train, Matiia, Mahdy Saffar, Yerpo, Ruy Pugliesi, Kaare, Bjankuloski06, Barras, RalfX, PauloEduardo, sorry for multyping: you guys were the ones who updated the page this year so I would like to have your input first of all. --Base (talk) 11:44, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Once per month maybe all three months. There doesn't change much anyway. -Barras talk 18:06, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
I only update dawiki's part of the page when a new administrator is appointed, which happens relatively rarely; I'm fine with the page being updated by other means. - Kaare (talk) 16:08, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and we have rules defining when an administrator has become inactive, and I'm sure others will have such rules as well. - Kaare (talk) 16:11, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

The English WP doesn't have 50 million articles

edit

The "article" count in many rows contains all the pages in said wiki, but those are not articles, and the statistics for "articles per users/admins" are therefore incorrect for many of the wikis listed. It's an easy mistake to make, and one more reason why this page should be updated by some non-human entity.

But at least I found a curiosity: Svwiki is listed with 7,778,123 pages in 2020, but now it has just barely over 6M. I took a look and it seems that one admin is deleting bot-created articles, and last year they deleted more than 350 thousand pages, which is about the same number that the two most prolific enwiki admins deleted between them. kyykaarme (talk) 21:59, 13 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Kyykaarme you were right, updated for now. 🌸 Sakura emad 💖 (talk) 23:15, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately many of them are still wrong. The 50+ list has two wikis that have more articles than enwiki, which is obviously incorrect. The format (just numbers, no spaces or commas) also makes it more difficult to realize that something is amiss. kyykaarme (talk) 18:35, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
