This language has been verified as eligible. editFrom @Ilmardalimunthe: Bahasa Angkola adalah salah satu bahasa daerah yang terutama dipertuturkan di daerah Tapanuli bagian Selatan, meliputi Tapanuli Selatan, Padangsidimpuan, Padang Lawas Utara, Padang Lawas, dan sebagian kecil Mandailing natal, Sumatra Utara, Indonesia. Bahasa Angkola termasuk dalam rumpun bahasa Angkolanesia, dan merupakan bagian dari kelompok bahasa-bahasa sansekerta. Bahasa Angkola adalah bahasa yang paling mirip dengan bahasa mandailing, di samping letak geografis yang berdekatan, bahasa Angkola sedikit lebih lembut intonasinya daripada bahasa mandailing dan juga memiliki kemiripan dengan bahasa Mandailing,cuma perbedaan mendasar terletak pada intonasi Angkola yang lebih tegas dibandingkan Mandailing. Kemiripan antara Bahasa Angkola dengan Mandailing dipengaruhi oleh domisilinya yang berdekatan dan saling mendukungadat istiadat budayabya mendekatia adat istiadat mengikutiajaran agama islam.
