January

• CIS-A2K conducted an online meeting with Punjabi Wikimedians on 9 January 2021. This was the first meeting of the 2021 year. 14 participants joined this meeting. For a detailed report, read here

• Wikipedia 20th anniversary celebration edit-a-thon

Punjabi Wikimedians participated in Wikipedia 20th anniversary celebration edit-a-thon conducted by AK2. 10 editors from the community participated in this event and 24 pages were created or expanded by the Punjabi community.

• Joint Online Event for Hindi and Punjabi Wikimedians

A virtual celebration event was conducted on Wikipedia's 20th birthday. It was organized for the celebration of Wikimedians of Hindi and Punjabi communities. This also served as an introduction between new and experienced Punjabi and Hindi Wikimedians. In this event, 13 participants took part in the meeting, 9 from the Punjabi community and 4 from the Hindi community.

• Participation in workshop of Small wiki toolkits Understanding the technical challenges

In this workshop on 24 th January, 2021, three Punjabi Wikimedians User Mulkh Singh, Hardarshan Benipal And Satdeep Gill participated. For community development, a short report was created by Mulkh Singh and shared on Village Pump.Description: We discussed the technical challenges faced by contributors to Wikimedia projects of South Asian languages, with ideas to build local technical capacity, and increase and share skills and knowledge across various communities.

February

• In February and March, Punjabi Wikimedians Participated in 2 months long Femnism and Folklore editing event. Total 5 editiors participated in it and 354 articles created or expanded.

• Monthly Meeting

CIS-A2K conducted an online meeting of Punjabi Wikimedians on 13 February 2021. This was the second meeting of the 2021 year. 11 participants joined this meeting. User:KCVelaga was also joined this meeting as a resource person.

• Participation in Wikimedia Wikimeet India 2021

Wikimedia Wikimeet India 2021 was a three-day-long virtual event. It was conducted by A2K in February 2021 on the 19th, 20th and 21st. On the third day, participants celebrated International Mother Language Day. More than 20 Wikimedians for Punjabi Wikimedians participated as listeners. Earliar, efforts are made through online meetings and translation of Newsletter of event by community.

• Women's Week 2021 was an edit-a-thon which was for a week. It is organised by Punjabi Wikimedians.

• Monthly Meeting

CIS-A2K conducted an online meeting of Punjabi Wikimedians on 28 March 2021. This was the third meeting of the 2021 year. 6 participants joined this meeting.

• Monthly Meeting

Continuing the meetup series, CIS-A2K conducted an online meeting of Punjabi Wikimedians on 30 April 2021. 9 participants joined this meeting.

May

Wiki Loves Literature was an online edit-a-thon on Wikipedia which is initiated to improve the quantity and quality of literature-related content on Wikipedia. This event is organised for Punjabi Wikipedia only.

• Campaign to improve existed articles

Punjabi Wikimedians started a campaign to improve the articles which are reading the most on Punjabi Wikipedia.

• Participation in Mahatma Gandhi 2021 edit-a-thon

Mahatma Gandhi 2021 edit-a-thon is a mini edit-a-thon which is the second iteration of Mahatma Gandhi mini edit-a-thon. It is to be conducted on 2 and 3 October 2021 on the same dates. It was conducted by CIS A2K. 4 Punjabi Wikimedians participate in it.

• Punjabi Wikimedians organised a Punjabi Audiobooks Project Workshop.

• Participation in Festive Season 2021 edit-a-thon

Festive Season 2021 edit-a-thon is the second iteration of Festive Season mini edit-a-thon. This edit-a-thon was conducted by CIS A2K The edit-a-thon was conducted on 11 & 12 December 2021. 7 Punjabi Wikimedians participated in it and create or improve content.
