This virtual celebration event is happening for Wikipedia's 20th birthday. It will be organized for the celebration of Wikimedians of Hindi and Punjabi communities. This will also serve as an introduction between new and experienced Punjabi and Hindi Wikimedians.

Objective

The objective of this online meetup is to bring familiarity between Punjabi and Hindi Wikimedians. So in future, they can plan to do collaborative work later on. In this meetup, we will also have edit-a-thon to improve/create articles related to respective communities' culture.

Planning

On Wikipedia's birthday, we will conduct an online meetup and a celebration event. The scheduled of like:

  • First an introductory session.
  • Then some participants can tell about their works in Wikimedia projects (If they want to share their specific efforts).
  • A Edit-a-thon for cross-culture articles. Two lists will be created, one for Hindi Wikimedian by Punjabi Wikimedians about Punjab or Punjabi culture and another list will be created by Hindi Wikimedians for Punjabi Wikimedians about those articles which are important and they must exist on Punjabi Wikipedia.
  • Final session/Ending after article creation activity.
