- What you all need to do, is to ask Brion (brion A.T wikimedia D.O.T org) or TimStarling (timstarling A.T wikimedia D.O.T org) to having your Subversion account to be set up. Shinjiman 01:14, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

- Do you have a Subversion account? If not, please contact Brion under brion AT pobox DOT com and ask him to make one for you. He can also set up the skeleton for the French planet.--Eloquence 11:29, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

And also, you need to ask them to having the planet in your language to be set up, in this case that would be http://fr.planet.wikimedia.org. Shinjiman 01:16, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- PivWan seems absent. I'm volunteer to maintain it and familiar with Planet and svn. I've asked a svn account. --Dereckson 21:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

To much a pain to get that stuff open. It is now http://planet.espace-win.org/wikipedia-fr/ Anthere 18:53, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Which does not filter on the subject, thus being interesting but not really a « Wikimedia » planet. nojhan 11:29, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
The feed has now 12 entries, we have several admin proposal and nices posts... what can we do to speed up the process and get things done ? nojhan 11:29, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- SVN account for nojhan is now set up to maintain the feed list in the config file. --brion 16:44, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Just to say again that I'll maintain conf files. BTW, I think that we need a blog aggregator to organize better PR in Serbia. --Millosh 15:48, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Millosh asked me to write this - I am also willing to administer/maintain conf files for Serbian language blogs. --Бране Јовановић 10:19, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

North Germanic languages (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Faroese)
editThis is a special request. I suggested on all Scandinavian language village pumps that we should create a common Planet Wikimedia for all Scandinavian languages – they are mutually intelligible (Icelandic and Faroese less so, but they should still be allowed – I don’t think those languages will be big enough for their own planets in the foreseeable future), and a common Planet would benefit crosswiki cooperation and sharing of information. The proposal got positive feedback in all village pumps – two Swedish blogs were even started because of the proposal, so it is looking good already.
The language code used should be gmq, which is the ISO 639-5 code for North Germanic languages, but it should also have redirects from sv, da, no, nb, nn, is and fo (and perhaps skan as well?). As for the language to be used in the interface, I have been experimenting a little bit (without success so far) with having several interface languages (e.g. a file called index.<langcode>.html in the planet directory), but it could just be set up in English to begin with until that is figured out. I am willing to maintain the configuration of the planet (have SVN access). Jon Harald Søby
