Meeting to present the project and the structure of the guidelines to the Advisory Board.

  • need to simplify the structure;
  • clarify the targeted audience/s;
  • think about the user's experience and strategies to motivate user to implement OA policies;
  • consider including video, audio or images besides text-based content;
  • introduction: clarify terms such as open access and open sources, explain the motivation behind the guidelines and their goals;
  • table of content: clarify titles of the subsections by adding a subtitle;
  • keep in mind legal aspects of sharing data: e.g., privacy and anonymisation;
  • underline the collective nature of OS;
  • think about the guidelines not as an isolated object but consider also its relationship to training and implementation by partners;
  • look into partners' OA policies and acknowledge the different roles involved in the process at an institutional level;
  • focus on the outputs as structuring element of the guidelines;
  • acknowledge that OS is in a phase of transformation: provide users with the tools they need in their everyday practice right now, but also consider the longterm relevance of the guidelines;
  • language: consider translating the guidelines, maybe delegate to partners.
