OTRS ticketEdit

Can a meta sysop who has OTRS review [1] Thanks. MBisanz talk 02:57, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

The gist of the OTRS complaint is that the copyright poll requires 25 edits to be eligible, but nowhere in the banner itself does it state that there are eligibility requirements: You have to try to vote before it explains if you are or are not eligible, according to the note. I'd suggest getting feedback first, then making any appropriate changes/suggestions to whoever maintains the banner. Kylu 03:06, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
A note could be placed in the banner, linking to the section on the proposal page concerning the suffrage criteria. The only problem is with mass translation. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 03:13, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
Right now, with just a few complaints and the majority of users being eligible to vote.. I honestly don't think that it's worth all the effort. Every time the source is modified, it requires us to update all of the 91 or so translations. If we were to receive a bit more feedback on the banner and enough people wanted it changed, then we could probably go ahead with it. --Az1568 (talk) 03:47, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Uploader RequestEdit

My apologies if I am at the wrong place, but I need some kind of permission which I think is "Uploader." The Wikipedia page on personality Gordon Elliott is missing a photograph. I worked with him when we were both at Channel 10 Television, Sydney, Australia in the 1980's and have photographs of Gordon Elliott which I have the copyrights to. Can someone please help me out to contribute a photograph of Gordon Elliott? It is likely I will have many other photographs of Australian TV personalities to contribute too, since Channel 10 allowed me to keep copyrights to photographs I took for a future photography book. I was employed at Channel 10 Television, Sydney, for 11 years. Thank you. --BarryBuchananPhotographer 23:22, 16 April 2009 (AEST)

HelpEdit

Resolved. Discussion held in Babel. The result was that this right is not implemented

Where can you request rollback rights? I'm already a rollbacker at en.wikipedia, and would like to spend my time here at Meta fighting vandalism. --Dylan620 Talk to the left, stalk to the right. 19:31, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Meta-Wiki doesn't have rollback rights policy or local rollbacker user group so you can't request it. You will have to use some scripts or the undo feature. Regards. —Dferg (talk) 19:35, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Why don't we have the local rollbacker user group? It's a good idea IMO, Commons and the Simple English Wikipedia also have it and I think it could be helpful here at Meta, too. --Dylan620 Talk to the left, stalk to the right. 19:47, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
You are free to propose it in Meta:Babel if you wish. At this moment, only global rollbackers and administrators can use it. Best regards. —Dferg (talk) 19:49, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

I think the reason we've not imported the rollbacker right is two-fold: firstly, there isn't much vandalism on Meta-wiki that can be reverted, and secondly, there are already so many administrators and Stewards watching that vandalism is reverted usually within the minute. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 21:50, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
