Meta:Requests for adminship/Who
- The following discussion is preserved as an archive of a closed Meta-Wiki request. Please do not modify it.
I respectfully request adminship on MetaWiki. I have editing Meta for a short time, and do not currently have a very high edit count, as I spend a great deal of my time working on Wikipedia:Categories for deletion. I have recently started fixing orphan articles and categories, and checking images for copyright status. Although my edit count is low, I feel I have much more to offer than my current count. I have also spent a lot of time recently reverting vandalism. I wish to contribute more the the spamblacklist and general cleanup (Rfd), also assiting users with requests and of course the occasional blocking of vandals. You may see my RFA on English Wikipedia en:Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Who 2. Feel free to ask me any questions. Thank you. «»Who?¿?WP 07:55, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Support. In the short time Who has been at the English Wikipedia, he has been a tremendous help. He's always willing to pitch in and help with just about everything. He will be a great asset at Meta. --Kbdank71 14:32, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Support. He is an excellent contributor and administrator on en.wikipedia and I am certain that this will transfer to Meta. A very helpful user. -- Psy guy 17:04, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

- dubito ergo sum too soon imho to be honest... oscar 00:49, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- atque ego not personally but it seems too soon. His substantial activities began on 7 October. I doubt if he is well involved into Meta community and more I am afraid he support the idea "all goes on all projects like English Wikipedia and there is no other better way"; As of yet all his supporters are not involved into meta activities, therefore those supports doesn't help me to know him as meta editor. I would be happy to see him continue his activities in a longer term, not only one week. --Aphaia++ 00:59, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- comment Hi, thanks for the comments. I just wanted to verify that I have read Meta policy and I understand it is a completely different standard than en:WP. I have only recently started major work on Meta, yes. However I do feel like I could improve it, I hope to show this over a long term, as you stated. My main reasoning for wanting adminiship, sooner rather than later, is to expidite the much needed cleanup that seems to go slowly. I do not mean this in a bad way, but the majority of Meta admins are buzy with the rest of the projects and sometimes do not have the time to work Meta cleanup. I do not mean this as a negative comment. I hope I will prove my worth overtime. Thanks. «»Who?¿?WP 04:37, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

- Support, I suppose, although I was going to go dubito ergo sum, as per oscar's and Aphaia's comments. However, contribs in the last few days show a real motivation to clean up. Go for it! notafish }<';> 17:26, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
