Meta:Requests for adminship/Az1568
The community being all in favour of this user becoming an admin the rights have been granted --Herby talk thyme 08:07, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to request adminship in order to help with the usual admin tasks. Some of you already know me as an Administrator on en.wikibooks and as a user on various Wikimedia projects. I have also been granted long term temporary sysop status on various projects, a few of which can be found on requests for permissions. I've also been quite active in dealing with crosswiki issues as a member of the SWMT, and as a staffer for the CVN. With all of this experience, I feel that I'm familiar with the sysop tools and the fact that I've had to at times, ask other meta admins to do things that I could have easily done myself, for example speedy deleting pages, blocking users, updating interface pages etc. Since I've been spending more time on meta now and have been frequently asking others to do these simple tasks for me, I feel that the sysop bit would be useful. Thanks. --Az1568 05:23, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- At the risk of upsetting a handful of people one of the best cross wiki vandals fighters I know. The contribution to Meta is not great but Az is someone I trust completely & I've learnt a lot from and is a real Wikimedian who has a lot of cross project knowledge. The tools would be used well & certainly not abused --Herby talk thyme 12:19, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
