About the meet up
editA social gathering for Wikimedia enthusiasts, held in a family-friendly pub in Coventry City Centre, a short walk or taxi ride from the station. The beer is cheap, the food is good and the WiFi is free. However, the pub is quiet and cosy in the daytime and it also serves coffees and soft drinks, so younger Wikipedians should feel welcome.
A meetup is a great opportunity to meet other Wikipedians, to discuss Wikipedia and Wikimedia-related issues, or to get help from experienced editors.
Directions
editThe pub is a little over a mile from the city centre but easy to get to. If driving via the Inner Ring Road, come off at junction 6 and follow these directions, or exit at junction 7 onto The Butts, and then turn left onto Albany Street. The pub is situated just off a small roundabout and it has its own rather small car park (other parking is available nearby). The walk from the station takes you through the suburb of Earlsdon (directions). A taxi from the station will normally cost less than £5.
Location
editThe meetup will be held in The City Arms, Earlsdon, Coventry, CV5 6EP
Look for a laptop logged into Wikipedia, someone wearing a Wikipedia T-shirt, a Wikimedia UK banner, or just look for this guy!
