Karavali Wikimedians User Group (KWUG) will be organising a Wikimania 2021 satellite in-person event for its members. The puprose of the event is to share the learnings of attending Wikimania 2021 virtually. KWUG members also will be discussions about the activities of the KWUG so far and the activities that can be organised in the future.

Deliberations edit

  • People assembled and socialised first
  • Participants shared their experiences of attending Wikimania 2021 online. Some participants explained essence of some of the sessions they attended. This part of the meeting was quite useful.
  • Many felt moving around floors and tables in Remo platform was not easily understood. Some participants said even though they were sitting in some tables, there were not any interactions and socialising.
  • Most participants expressed their opinion that physical meeting, ie., in person events are more useful than the online event.
  • Swags distributed.
  • A quiz was conducted based on the happenings at Wikimania 2021 and Wikipedia/Wikmedia in general.
