Risk assessment without Google account?
editNot all of us have sold our privacy (and that of our nearest ones, including children) to global commercial espionage giants like Google. Thus, could you share this risk assessment more openly and without linkage to Google, e.g. as a flow chart or as a web-page (html)? --Paju~enwiki (talk) 21:28, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- Something has been changed since yesterday. Now sign-in to Google account is not requested as one tries to open risk assessment related links. Yesterday Google account sign-in was requested which prevented us to read these instructions. --Paju~enwiki (talk) 08:57, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Paju~enwiki. Thank you for your feedback. We are definitely aware of these challenges and working on converting the Risk Assessment documents to Meta-Wiki (aside from the Risk Assessment tool itself which require attracting data and cannot be hosted on a Meta-Wiki page). This will happen by the end of this month. Please reach out to us if you require any help with the tool or any of the other documents. We are happy to do it together with you so you won't need any sign-in or to allow any actions that will violate your privacy. CAlmog (WMF) (talk) 14:24, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Paju~enwiki: We have completed importing these documents into Meta-Wiki (aside from the Risk Assessment tool itself which require attracting data and cannot be hosted on a Meta-Wiki page). Thank you for your feedback and patience! --Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 22:12, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Less than, equal to, greater than 10
edithttps://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Risk_assessment_during_COVID-19 says "If it is only ten people or less", but the eligibility criteria says "involving less than 10 people". The two should probably be consistent about an event involving exactly 10 people. Mitch Ames (talk) 23:49, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Mitch Ames, yes you are correct. I just changed it. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! CAlmog (WMF) (talk) 10:14, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Cant really understand risk assessment document
editI'm living in a country where there's not at all Covid-19. When I fill this document, I get "red" meaning that it is risky to organize an event. Can you tell me what's really the purpose of this document? Does it take into account that the situation is not the same as in Europe or the US? My conclusion after filling the document is that you can't host an event in a city/country where there's no Covid spread or cases because you or your authorities don't take care of the Covid risk. Correct me if I'm wrong. --BamLifa (talk) 17:20, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi BamLifa! Thank you for your question, and apologize for missing it. The protocol does take into consideration very different Covid status across the world. Before we launched it, we also experimented with 'Green countries'. Have you filled out the Risk Assessment tool? And if so, did you marked question number 3 (active community spread) as Green? I'll be very happy to go through your risk assessment in more depth if you could send it over to me - calmog@wikimedia.org, and we can find the way to make sure you can host your event.
